Summer vacation is around the corner and it is not too early to think about your family's summer vacation. Some of the options include all inclusive resort stays, spa resorts, camping trips, visiting friends and relatives, but if you are tired of all the traditional types of vacations, consider an adventure quest that you will not soon forget. An adventure quest is a trip that you take into a wilderness area where you may need to learn skills that will teach you self reliance, and stretch your boundaries. You and your family will come back from an adventure quest with memories about how you survived those days and nights alone in the wilderness, relying on yourselves and your guide to get you through the vacation relying on your wits and planning, instead of entertaining yourselves with television, swimming pools, driving tours, and restaurants.
An adventure quest can be any kind of a wilderness expedition, like mountain biking, hiking into a mountain range, canoeing a wilderness area, or scaling a mountainside. The extreme adventure quest would be climbing Mount Everest, but few of us have the physical wherewithal or financial means to do this one. But you surely do not have to go to this extreme to have a memorable adventure quest a million miles different than your typical vacation. |
