This spring will be great for white water rafting out West. |

I would love to try some white water rafting this summer in Utah, where the Green River is located. There is a river there, in a place called the Westwater Canyon that has some two or three day trips in a guided oar boat that looks like it would be loads of fun. The snow melt will be incredible this spring, which means that the water for white water rafting will be fanastic this summer, especially early in the season. There is no telling if the summer will be as wet as the winter has, so I'm thinking about booking a trip in April or May for Moab, Utah, where they will launch this tour. Since it is a short trip, it will be less expesnive than spending a whole week going down the Grand Canyon, which is not cheap by any means. I have gone on overnight canoe trips in the past, and they can definintely be an adventure quest, but they are so calm and peaceful compared to white water rafting. It's time to get my feet wet (and everything else, I imagine), and experience some white water rafting in high water level conditions. |
