Going on an adventure quest is one way to take a memorable vacation. We love to go camping and hiking, so going on an adventure quest for us is just such a natural way to take a vacation. One summer we went white water rafting with guides down the Colorado River. Later we met our friends at the Green River and spent a week camping and white water rafting its incredible current. We have purchased a waterproof digital camera so we can get the pictures we want to record our incredibly fun adventure quests.
We got started with the adventure travel after we moved to the Southwest about 15 years ago. A woman I worked with thought I would enjoy going hiking and backpacking, so invited us to go on a weekend backpacking trip. Before we knew it, we were buying backpacking gear left and right and finally got into more challenging adventure quests by going on overnight mountain biking trips and finally, white water rafting. We love it and hope to keep it up until we can't find anyone to push our wheelchairs down the trails years from now.
