mount everest, adventure travelsSitting at a pub table in a local neighborhood hotspot, my friend of 28 out of nowhere told me he had signed up to go climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. This is coming from a person who has never been rock climbing in his life outside of a park. Someone I’ve only seen within the urban jungle landscape. That floored me. He had contacted a friend associated with adventure travels and the date was set for late in April. Before he’d secured a sport to Kilimanjaro, he called adventure tours for climbing Mount Everest. I laughed when he told me this.

I’m sure the person on the other end did too when he told them he had never climbed any of the required peaks to conquer Mount Everest. This is the tallest place on earth. My buddy even with his latter decision is biting off more then he can chew. He’s an active guy but this came out of nowhere. God willing he comes back with a story of a lifetime and some great photos come Spring time. You can’t knock a guy for getting an idea and going for it.
